A relationship, it’s a kind of bond between two people. Better to say a strong attachment of two souls with enrichment of love, respect,  care, supportive mindset for each other. A relationship doesn’t mean only holding each other’s hand and walking down a street on an evening and having a romantic conversation.

Relationship stays and depends on how we take care of our partner in every aspect of their life, and career.

Understanding each other is another prospect of a healthy and long-lasting relationship.

Now we have to go through some serious matter that builds a strong relationship. That is mind to mind connection of those who are in that relationship. Because sometimes that type of connection works more to interpret emotion and feeling. That is called mindfulness in any kind of relationship.

It is one of those most important things to be inhabited for a better future in a relationship. When a couple quarrels that time their mind goes out of control and they start to say rubbish things.

At that time the other partner has to be silent and try to sort out the matter and calm the other partner. If he/she doesn’t do this their problem won’t be solved otherwise it will become more and more difficult and get worse. This phase is driven by the mindfulness in that relationship.

Now we have to understand the ways or possibilities on how to implement mindfulness in a relationship so that it remains as strong as the earlier stage of getting in that relationship.

  1. I) We all have our own opinions, own perspectives to see a thing or happening. Now If a couple would think that his/her partner will understand the way they are looking a matter that is not acceptable. If we want a mindful relationship and peace in our relationship then we have to be understanding.
  2. II) Maturity is all we need in a relationship. When a boy and girl are getting into a relationship they are not that much of mature. It’s getting with time by time and getting to know each other. Maturity is one of those important ways to bring mindfulness into a relationship.

III) Respecting each other is another way of implementing mindfulness in a relationship. Our partner could be short-tempered or angry-minded. Knowing that we can’t force him/her to be calm and quiet every time. We can’t say anything to our partner while being angry. We have to respect their feelings. We have to understand their side, their point of view.

  1. IV) Nowadays everyone is busy in their field of work. But we should always have quality time for our loved ones. We should spend quality time with our partners. The more we spend time with them, we will know each other, learn from each other, and understand each other. We can be busy at work but there should be enough time to sit and discuss life with our partner.
  2. V) Our partner should always get the priority that she/he deserves. Because if we love anyone this much then they should be prioritised in any aspect of our life. When we are planning to get settled with them, then we should plan our future life’s structure together as we will live the rest of our lives standing beside each other.
  3. VI) We have to be protective so that no one can insult our partner, misbehave with our partner, or bully our partner in front of us. If someone is trying to or going to insult our partner we have to take the stand to protect him/her and the third should be afraid to take the next step to misbehave with her/him.

VII) If we love someone too much and want to spend the rest of our life with him/her above mentioned qualities come automatically and naturally we transform from a boy to a man and a girl to a woman.

  1. How can mindfulness help in long-distance relationships?
  2. Can mindfulness improve relationships that have gone cold?
  3. How to introduce a partner to mindfulness?
  4. Are there any mindfulness techniques specifically for couples?
  5. How does mindfulness help in dealing with jealousy or insecurity?

Long-distance relationships are much like a test of our bonding, trust in each other, and patience. Now as we considered mindfulness earlier, it is like the accelerator of a long-lasting relationship. The more mindfulness is present in a relationship the more it will be strong. In a long-distance relationship mindfulness is the only thing that keeps a couple together, keep them patient.

A relationship gets cold when that relationship is suffering from a lack of mindfulness. Practically relationship gets cold when we don’t respect our partner, we don’t understand them, we don’t care about their mental health, we just put our opinion, and our decisions upon them and this becomes an unbearable thing to our partner.

This can’t be a perfect relationship though nothing is perfect but we have to cope with it. In this type of setback in a relationship, mindfulness comes as a savior.

We don’t have to introduce our partner to mindfulness. It’s a natural thing that comes from the inner us, reflected in our behavior toward them, our gestures, our care, and our ability to take responsibility towards them. So when of of these mentioned qualities comes from the inner us it becomes mindfulness and our relationship goes beautifully with the flow of time.

There are no such so-called specific techniques of mindfulness, especially for couples, but as we discussed earlier, all those qualities amidst us bring out our act of mindfulness toward our partner. It’s a very important topic, that insecurity or jealousy in a relationship. Now when we are loving a person that much, insecurity comes naturally.

It’s a natural thing in relationships. This can’t be changed because as there is mindfulness in a relationship that’s why there is insecurity. Mindfulness in relationships is the awareness that arises from paying attention to the present moment, deliberately and without judgment
